Grassroutes Amphawa is a full day (or multi-day) experience that takes on a slow-life journey to Samut Sonkghram, the smallest yet one of the most serene and picturesque provinces in Thailand. Explore coastal trading centers as you travel by train to the infamous Maeklong Train Market. However, you’ll be going far beyond the tourist attractions.

 

Since Samut Songkhram is dubbed the Last Venice of Thailand you will join us traveling up the Maeklong river in your private boat to old river-front communities to enjoy the nature, rural heritage and way of life through the lens of agriculture and waterborne trade. Experience the DNA of Samut Songkhram connected to story of our founder’s  95-year old grandmother to explore off the beaten path and trace the old world when Michael’s grandmother was a young lady. Lets keep the memory of the old days alive, celebrate the heritage of the Maeklong River basin and swap modern city life for a unique and memorable time in the rural heart of Thailand.
