The Three Rivers Project aims to connect Chao Phraya river with the Tha Chin and Maeklong river basins through three hinterland routes.
The idea evolved after Michael interviewed his 96 year old grandmother about her experiences traveling by boat trading coconuts between Samut Songkhram and Bangkok. We trace her journey and explore what is left of the world she grew up in.
Together with farmers, conservationists and local communities we seek to craft slow-travel journeys connecting central Thailand’s river basins and ultimately Bangkok with our heritage stay in Bangnoi.
